SEO Case Study Philippines – Progress and Actual Results

Sept 27, 2025: This SEO Case Study Philippines is where I document, in real time, the process and results of optimizing my own website.

Hi, I’m Steffanie, and I’m an SEO specialist who loves helping businesses actually grow.

You’re a business owner, so you know the drill: results matter in SEO. When you hire someone for SEO, you shouldn’t have to just take their word for it. That’s exactly why I decided to take this approach.

I’ve turned my own site into my personal, no-risk SEO lab. I built the whole thing myself from scratch, the full stack, using WordPress and Elementor. This means I can run rigorous experiments, track performance under real-world pressure, and totally refine my strategies.

I’ll be consistently sharing my progress, giving you all the detailed updates, and including the specific, hard-earned lessons I pick up. By following this case study, you’ll see my methods in action and get a solid read on the level of commitment I bring to achieving measurable success.

When you’re ready to grow your online visibility, you’ll be partnering with someone who has already proven her strategies right here.

Building the Site Fast, Clean, and Optimized

My whole website is designed to be a reflection of my personal brand as an SEO specialist here in the Philippines. While I definitely want to serve global clients eventually, I made a conscious choice to start by testing Local SEO first. Focusing right here in the Philippines lets me experiment and track those initial, real-world results.

Ultimately, my core audience is global business owners who need serious SEO help, and this site is my proof. I want it to clearly show them: I can deliver measurable results.

I structured the site to be super clean and easy to navigate, with the basic pages everyone expects: Home, Services, Blog, Portfolio, and Contact.

To speed things up without sacrificing quality, I started with a clean WordPress template. That keeps the core build fast and professional, which is critical for SEO, a well-structured site is simply easier for search engines to crawl and index.

For performance and security, I rely on a few trusted free plugins. I use a cache cleaner to keep the site fast, Wordfence for security, and Yoast SEO to nail down the content and metadata optimization.

Finally, the blog is really a dual-purpose space. It’s where I share all my updates and experiments, making the site both my learning playground and a living portfolio that showcases my SEO skills in action.

My Keyword Strategy

For this SEO Case Study Philippines to be truly valuable, I knew I had to get the keyword strategy right.

First thing was finding keywords that fit my niche as a personal SEO specialist here in the Philippines. To do the heavy lifting, I relied on great, reliable tools like Ubersuggest and Google Keyword Planner. These helped me find that sweet spot: keywords with good search volume but competition that I can actually beat. But I didn’t just grab a list. I always check out my competitors, and most importantly, I figure out the search intent.

Content and Link Building Strategy

My content approach is simple and intentional. I write blog posts based on topics my target audience actually searches for. I blend locally relevant content from the Philippines with broader SEO insights to appeal to both local and global readers.

For link building, I started with small outreach efforts by connecting with niche directories and industry blogs. I also improved internal linking throughout the site to help both users and search engines discover important pages and posts more efficiently.

On-Page SEO Implementation

I got straight into the essential on-page work. That means making sure all the fundamental stuff: page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and URLs, naturally include my relevant keywords.

Every piece of content is built for readability and user experience (UX). I use clear headings (H1s, H2s, H3s) to break things up, keep paragraphs short, and use bullet points, anything to help a reader scan quickly. I also optimize all images by giving them descriptive alt text, sizing them correctly, and compressing the files. Why? To keep the site fast and accessible!

My meta descriptions are written to encourage clicks. I also regularly check my internal links to ensure navigation stays intuitive and relevant.

As a trained SEO specialist, I truly believe that the reader and your target audience are the heart of SEO, and keywords come second.

Technical Health and Site Performance

To support this SEO Case Study Philippines, I focused on improving the site’s technical foundation. I treated it like tuning an engine and made site speed a priority by compressing images, using a caching plugin, and removing any unused code or plugins.

I monitor crawl issues through Google Search Console and make fixes as needed. Since the site is built with Elementor, I made performance-focused adjustments like limiting animations and removing unnecessary widgets to keep everything fast and crawl-friendly.

Here I performed a comprehensive SEO audit of my website using Screaming Frog and other audit tools to go beyond on-page fundamentals and uncover what’s happening behind the scenes. This allows me to identify hidden technical issues, prioritize fixes, and build a data-backed optimization roadmap that strengthens rankings, improves crawlability, and boosts overall site performance.

Through consistent optimization, I was able to push all my PageSpeed metrics into the green (90 and above), which helps improve both user experience and search performance.

boost SEO through page speed

Hey everyone! Quick website update as of October 3rd:

I’ve been on a mission to make my site lightning fast, and I think I finally cracked it!

I spent some time on optimizations, which basically meant I did a little digital decluttering. I shrunk those image file sizes (using medium/thumbnail sizes where it made sense), cut out all the distracting motion effects (sorry, Elementor blocks!), and used separate, simpler images instead of those bulky background-image blocks.

The biggest game-changer was installing the WP Super Cache plugin and turning on caching.

Seriously, the difference is HUGE on both desktop and mobile. It loads so much quicker now!

Performance Tracking and Metrics

To measure progress, I track organic traffic through Google Analytics and Search Console. I also monitor keyword rankings, bounce rate, and user behavior to see what’s working and what needs improvement. When applicable, I review inquiries or conversions that come through my service pages. My goal is to show real growth over time in a way that I can present confidently to future clients.

Update as of Sept 28: My SEO efforts are really starting to pay off, even after just a month! I pulled up Google Search Console, and the data looks fantastic. My key terms are already racking up impressions. They haven’t cracked the first SERP page yet, but the best part is that these impressions are for highly relevant keywords in my space. It proves that the site is gaining the right kind of visibility. I’m calling that a major win for such an early stage!

It's Working! The Momentum is Real.

Honestly, this has been so much fun, and I’m genuinely thrilled that just a month in, the work is starting to pop. Being really thoughtful about the plan, tidying up the site’s internals (on-page optimization), and making sure the content is spot-on are finally paying off.

I’m seeing my main keywords grab those first impressions in search results. That’s huge! It means we’re getting noticed by the right people and building a super solid base to climb the rankings.

I’m excited to keep pushing things, testing new ideas, and really leveling up my skills. Every little adjustment gets me closer to being that reliable SEO expert a client can completely trust.

Stick around! I’ll keep testing, measuring everything, and sharing all the real-world, messy lessons of this SEO Case Study Philippines as it unfolds.
